Control rodent populations in and around buildings and food storage areas

For companies that want to retain the ability to continue using rodenticides in and around buildings, it will be mandatory to certify as of Jan. 1, 2023.
The government has so determined and this is regulated by the Ctgb through the legal use regulation (WG).
A transitional arrangement has been established for the interim period.

To achieve proper implementation, KPMB was asked to act as an independent scheme manager. By order of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and with the support of the industry organizations LTO, NVPB and PLA..N. and the KAD,
worked hard on this.

In order to organize it in an independent manner, the Central Board of Experts (CCvD) was established, which includes interested parties.

This provides additional assurance of independence.
The CCvD has fleshed out the certification scheme ‘IPM Rodent Control’ and this then applies to all professional use of rodenticides in and around buildings and food storage areas.

This means that the regulations apply to all companies, agencies and individuals performing such work, such as: pest management companies, agricultural operators or municipal departments.

The certification is based on the most recent Certification Scheme approved by the Ctgb and IL&T and KPMB.

The IPM Rodent Management Certification Scheme version 1.0 can be found here.
